About Ethyl Ether ≥99% ACS Grade

Ethyl Ether, also termed as Diethyl Ether, is the simplest compound of the Ether family. It appears as a colorless liquid with a sweet taste at room temperature. It has high volatility and flammability at normal conditions and is used as fuel in some engines. The American Chemical Society (ACS) certifies any chemical if it meets or exceeds its purity and quality standards. 

Ethyl Ether is a good solvent for fats, oils, dyes, resins, rubber, smokeless perfumes, and nitrocellulose. Ethyl Ether is also used in the manufacture of photographic films and pharmaceuticals, and as a reaction and extraction medium in the chemical industry.

    Di-Ethyl Ether Purchase

    Hello. I am an old mechanical engineer restoring an old car. It has an analog temperature gauge that, of course, was originally filled with DEE. Time caused leaks and the ether disappeared through leaks from inadequate original fabrication methods. Trying to restore the old reservoir bulb for ether that is located inside the cylinder head failed. Therefore, I designed and am machining a replacement with (hopefully) easier fill method and more permanent sealing. At the other end of a capillary is the bourdon tube gauge with a spot marked 100C. I am well satisfied that I could even purchase such a fluid. So that is a plus. I do have one request, though. May I please kindly request the thermodynamic information for this substance, so that I can calculate the pressure as a function of volume and temperature? Then I can calculate theoretical fill volume before sealing. Thank you.
