About Potassium Nitrate Crystal ACS Grade

Potassium Nitrate, also known as Nitre, Nitrate of potash, Nitric acid potassium salt, and Saltpeter, has the chemical formula KNO3. It appears as odorless white to dirty gray hygroscopic granules or crystalline powder and is soluble in Water at ambient conditions. It possesses a saline pungent taste. When heated to decomposition it emits very toxic fumes of Nitrogen Oxides and Dipotassium Oxide.

An ACS Grade reagent is a chemical that meets the purity requirements of the American Chemical Society (ACS). It is generally equivalent to the Analytical Reagent Grade. For dependable, consistent, and repeatable findings, ACS Grade reagents can be utilized in high- quality research labs.
