Salicylic Acid, also known as 2-Hydroxybenzoic Acid, 2-Carboxyphenol, and o-Hydroxybenzoic Acid has the chemical formula C7H6O3. It appears as an odorless, white-colored to light tan solid with an acrid taste. It is soluble in Acetone and slightly soluble in Water, therefore, when added to Water, it sinks and slowly mixes with it at ambient conditions.
