About Formic Acid 88% Solution, ACS Grade

Formic Acid is the simplest carboxylic acid, containing only one carbon. It is a colorless liquid with a pungent aroma. It is about 10 times stronger than Acetic Acid. The high acidity level and reducing nature of this compound, makes it different from other carboxylic acids. 

The ACS monogram is set by the American Chemical Society to ensure the purity and integrity of chemical reagents.

    Good for rear seal wash

    The recipe for my UHPLC’s rear seal wish system requires 0.2% formic acid. This product is highly cost effective for that purpose and saves my more expensive LCMS grade formic acid for actual chromatography use.
