Regarding, "About SDA 3C Ethanol 200 Proof (100%), Kosher, Halal", does all brands of this product type have the same level of alcohol smell? For perfume making, which of your products has "less" smell/ scent? Are smaller sample sizes available for purchase just to smell?
This product is a denatured ethanol with IPA. The smell is close to ethanol smell.
The smell of denatured alcohol is influenced by the denaturants added to it. For perfumes, there are other popular solvents such as SDA40B. 40B contains denaturants that has very low odor and are present at very low concentrations, does not effect the overall smell of ethanol. The link below is for SDA40B.
