It appears as blue odorless crystals, lumps or powder and is moderately water and acid soluble at ambient conditions. It can be prepared by dissolution of oxides, carbonates, or hydroxides in Sulfuric Acid solutions. It is also formed as a byproduct of copper electrolysis and etching process.
