About Sodium Hydroxide 6M/N (15%) Lab Grade

Sodium Hydroxide is an inorganic chemical that at ambient temperature appears as a white crystalline solid. It's also called "caustic" because of its strong basic nature, which releases a lot of heat when combined with water or neutralized with an acid. Its solution is very corrosive to metals and can cause severe irritation to skin tissues, eyes, and mucous membranes upon contact. As NaOH contains one hydrogen atom in its molecule, its Molarity and Normality are the same. For the preparation of 6M/6N solution of NaOH, 240g of pure NaOH is dissolved in 1 Liter distilled water. For commercial purpose, this specially designed solution is also labeled as 15% v/v NaOH solution. Lab Grade chemicals are often known as Chemically pure or Laboratory reagents. ACS Grade, USP Grade, and FCC Grade chemicals, despite their acceptable purity, do not fulfil any recognized quality or purity criteria. In terms of heavy metals, our Lab Grade chemicals are extremely pure. Lab Alley is selling its high-quality Sodium Hydroxide, Lab Grade, 6M/N (15% v/v) solution in the United States of America (USA).
